Jail mate of Todd Steuerman's. Demps testified last year and wrote in a 1997 affidavit that Todd told him in prison that he knew Marty didn't murder his parents, because friends of his father--Jerry Steuerman--did it. Demps testified that Todd said "money was the problem," with Jerry owing Seymour money but not being able to pay. Following his testimony, Suffolk authorities kept Demps in the Suffolk County jail--which is under state sanction for over-crowding--for five months without explanation, during which he missed enrollment in an early-release program, changing his prison release date from June 2005 to June 2015.
Demps was convicted of, and incarcerated for, robbery, rape, sodomy, burglery and kidnapping.
A drum major in the cavalcade of nefarious scoundrels paraded before the court.
