Graydon testified that he used drugs, sold drugs, and robbed drug dealers, which should get him into the parade of nefarious scoundrels, right up in front.

In addition to being of dubious credibility, Graydon's story about the attempted hit doesn't check out, logistically and factually.

Just a suggestion, but you may want to rewrite the sentence where Graydon finds Barket's name in the garbage, for obvious reasons.
